Every business has a story. Ours is rooted in resilience, vision, and a genuine desire to serve people often overlooked by mainstream banks.
KayVee Microfinance Bank was not always where it is today. In fact, just a few years ago, we were a small institution with limited reach. But what we had was potential—and a strong belief that banking could be different, better, and more relevant for hardworking Nigerians.
In April 2022, a new chapter began. Bay Holdings took ownership of KayVee MFB, not just to inject capital, but to bring fresh energy, new thinking, and a stronger foundation.
The bank was recapitalised to ₦220 million—a major leap from where we started. But more importantly, experienced professionals stepped in with a plan: build a modern bank that listens to customers, understands local businesses, and simplifies access to finance.
Rather than rush into the market, we spent time building a digital structure that worked for real people—not just big corporations.
Our mobile app went live as the heart of our digital journey, giving customers a faster, easier way to manage their money. Alongside it, we introduced key products like SME loans, school fee loans, fixed deposits, and current accounts—each one tailored through real conversations with real customers.
We were not guessing what people needed. We were asking.
By early 2024, people began to notice the difference.
From Lagos to Kaduna, Abuja to Port Harcourt, more Nigerians joined KayVee—not because of flashy ads, but because someone they trusted said, “Try them. They listen.”
Salary advances. Flexible savings plans. We became a microfinance bank with a human face, offering tools that made everyday life a bit easier.
From ₦50 million to ₦3.3 billion in just two years—yes, the numbers are impressive. But what matters more is why we grew.
We grew because we focused on people. Because our digital channels worked for market traders, salary earners, parents, and small business owners. Because we stuck to our promise: make banking simpler, smarter, and fairer.
The story of KayVee is still being written—but one thing is certain: we will never lose sight of why we started.
We exist to help Nigerian businesses and individuals move forward—one transaction, one conversation, and one opportunity at a time.
